Roman Reigns Will Not Compete At WWE’s Extreme Rules Event

The WWE’s Clash At The Castle Event was just held a few days ago, but the company is already building towards their next Premium Live Event known as WWE Extreme Rules. It is no secret that the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is working a part-time schedule with him only appearing a limited number of dates and his title defenses mostly happening on Premium Live Events, but it looks like The Head Of The Table will not be defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Title at the WWE’s Extreme Rules Event.

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that Roman Reigns will not be defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Title at the WWE Extreme Rules Premium Live Event as he will be defending his championship at their WWE Crown Jewel Event in Saudi Arabia, but he has no idea who Reigns will be defending against. It has been speculated that Reigns’ opponent at WWE Crown Jewel will be either Drew McIntyre or Karrion Kross based on what transpired at WWE Clash At The Castle and that those two will be facing each other in the main event of WWE Extreme Rules.

This is what Dave Meltzer said:

“He’s not on the [next] show. His next championship match is Saudi Arabia. I don’t know who against but I know it’s Saudi Arabia. He’s not on the Philly show.”

WWE Extreme Rules is set to take place on Saturday, October 8th from inside the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, while WWE’s Crown Jewel is set to take place on Saturday, November 5th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at a venue to has yet to be announced.
