There Has Been Talks About Creating A New WWE Championship

WWE has had plans of having both their RAW and SmackDown brands with their own top title heading into the summer and the company has even been considering creating a brand-new championship for either the RAW or the SmackDown brand for the men’s division.

Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there has been a lot of talk about possibly creating a secondary title for either WWE’s RAW or SmackDown brand, especially if the company decides to switch Roman Reigns from the blue brand to the red brand or if Roman Reigns is finally dethroned in 2023. The Tribal Chief will likely be going into WWE’s WrestleMania 39 as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and it has been revealed on a number of reports that the company is considering the idea of having him work both nights of The Show Of Shows.

As previously reported, WWE wants Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to face Roman Reigns in the main event of either Night 1 or Night 2 of WrestleMania 39, but if that doesn’t come into fruition, then Roman will face “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
