The Pro Wrestling spectacle is undoubtedly heating up in Bakersfield, California. One of the most tantalizing additions to the upcoming NXT No Mercy, happening September 30, is the extreme showdown between Tiffany Stratton and Becky Lynch for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Having survived a fierce face-off with Stratton last week, Lynch boldly threw the gauntlet down once again, only this time, she raised the stakes – it’s going to be an Extreme Rules match. The implications of their past encounters, fiery promo session, and Stratton’s post-match attack specifically set the stage for this thrilling duel.
Stratton quite brilliantly misled the crowd into believing their rematch would occur immediately only later to reveal the true venue – NXT No Mercy. The anticipation bubble was further inflated when NXT commentator Vic Joseph confirmed the Lynch-Stratton Extreme Rules match was officially on the card.
After their tag team encounter, that saw Lynch and Lyra Valkyria emerge victorious over Stratton & Kiana James, Stratton didn’t hold back in launching a retaliatory post-match attack with a chair. Lynch’s call for an Extreme Rules decider at No Mercy, however, caught Stratton unaware. Be prepared for high-voltage action as these determined titans clash.
Add this electrifying match to an already stacked card that includes the NXT Championship battle between Ilja Dragunov vs. Carmelo Hayes and the NXT North American Championship bout with Mustafa Ali squared against Dominik Mysterio. The NXT Heritage Cup Championship currently hang in the balance as well, awaiting the victor between Butch vs. Joe Coffey or Noam Dar.
Speaking of Butch – his progress in the NXT Global Heritage Invitational Tournament has been impressive. He defeated Tyler Bate in a Group A match, subsequently advancing to the Finals. On the other side, a nail-biting Group B tied match saw Joe Coffey emerge victorious against Duke Hudson and Nathan Frazer. Now, Coffey will face off against Butch with a shot at the NXT Heritage Cup Championship on the line.
So, wrestling enthusiasts, keep your popcorn at the ready. The feud between Stratton and Lynch is lit, the heat is on, and the No Mercy card is looking stacked. Tune in on September 30th because we’re going down – Extreme Rules style.
