Former All Elite Wrestling Star and top WWE Star “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, who was a huge part in the creation of All Elite Wrestling, left the company early last year after his contract with them expired. Cody Rhodes would then make his return to the WWE at last April’s WrestleMania 38, when he faced Seth Rollins in a Singles Match. Cody Rhodes would then suffer a torn pectoral injury before his Hell In A Cell Match against Seth “Freakin” Rollins.
Rhodes would then undergo surgery for his torn pectoral injury and after several months of rehab, The American Nightmare would finally make his highly-anticipated in-ring return at the company’s 2023 WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event last January, where he would win the Men’s Royal Rumble Match to earn an opportunity to challenge Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
The American Nightmare, who previously left the company in 2016 prior to making his return to the WWE at last year’s WrestleMania 38, recently made a massive announcement that he will be competing at the WWE Live Event at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sunday, March 12th. Other stars currently advertised for the massive show at Madison Square Garden according to the world’s most famous arena’s official website include Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Drew McIntyre, “The Man” Becky Lynch, Sami Zayn, Liv Morgan, Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman, The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins), current WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER, WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso).
CageMatch.net reports that “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes last competed at MSG in December 2015 at a post-Christmas live event, when he lost a Singles Match to Titus O’Neil as Stardust.
