WWE Breaks Royal Rumble Record For Largest Gate In History

WWE is set to hold their 2023 WWE Royal Rumble Event on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas and even though there is still more than two months to go before the event will be taking place, the show has already amassed a gross gate exceeding $4.6 million as noted by WWE co-CEO Nick Khan during the recent third quarter earnings call. There is also genuine excitement for the show and a lot of buzz going around as this will be the first Royal Rumble under the Triple H regime.

PWInsider.com reports that WWE revealed in a statement their 2023 WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event has broken their previous record for the largest gate in the event’s 36-year history. The report also mentions that the record was broken this past weekend when Royal Rumble’s gross gate has surpassed $5 million, which is more than the 2017 WWE Royal Rumble Event, the event WWE last held the Royal Rumble from the same venue.
