WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther Set To Miss 2024 Elimination Chamber

The glittering world of WWE is in for a twist as its top-tier talent, WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther, is reportedly set to miss the forthcoming Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. Scheduled to take place on 24th February 2024 in Perth, Australia, the event will miss the presence of this dominant force.

Gunther, in a recent interview with Krone, revealed that owing to strict residence regulations, his international travel has been restricted for the next six months. This unfortunate situation prevented Gunther from making an appearance at the Crown Jewel event held on November 4, and also looks to rule him out from flying down under for the Elimination Chamber in February 2024.

Luckily for his ardent fans, such hurdles are expected to clear by August 2024, just in time for Gunther to participate in Germany’s ‘Bash in Berlin’ event. Even though Gunther was unable to defend his title at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, he made his presence felt at a WWE Live Event in Rochester, NY on the same night. Here, he emerged victorious, triumphing over Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura in a heated three-way face-off.

Announcement of Gunther’s upcoming challenger for his cherished Intercontinental Championship can be expected during tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, where the likes of Ricochet, Bronson Reed, The Miz, and Ivar will go head to head in a number one contender’s four-way.

Gunther guarded his title successfully against Reed, raising speculations of The Miz being established as his next challenger. This conclusion emerges from last week’s Miz TV segment, that hinted towards a brewing challenge.
