WWE Is Looking To Break A Royal Rumble Record

The 2024 WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, which is set to take place on Saturday, January 27 from Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida, is still about 3 weeks away, but the company is already creating a massive card as CM Punk and “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes have already declared themselves for the Men’s Royal Rumble Match and although it has not been confirmed, it looks like WWE is building to an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match between Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and “The Viper” Randy Orton.

Dave Meltzer stated on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that ticket sales are strong for the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event as the company is looking to break the record for the largest Royal Rumble paid attendance. Meltzer also revealed that he is unsure what the number will be for next year’s Royal Rumble, but WWE is projecting a gate of close to $8 million and a total attendance of 50,000 people as the record that was set last January is a live gate of $7.3 million in ticket sales and a paid attendance of 44,569.
