WWE Is Reportedly Interested In Top NJPW Star

According to Fightful Select, WWE higher-ups are interested in bringing in NJPW Star Hikuleo and this has been the case over the past several months. The report also mentions that intermediaries had been used to express interest in the top NJPW Star, similar to what Finn Balor did to help bring in Dragon Lee.

This is interesting as Hikuleo is booked to compete in a “Loser Leaves Japan” Match against Jay White sometime in the near future, but there is no word yet on if the WWE has had any contact with the NJPW Star or when Hikuleo’s NJPW contract will expire. Hikuleo trained for over 6 years at Team 3D Academy and he would also train at the NJPW Dojo and the Fale Dojo prior to competing in NJPW.

Hikuleo, who is the brother of Tama Tonga and the nephew of Haku, also competed for top pro wrestling promotions such as All Elite Wrestling and IMPACT Wrestling.
