WWE Tough Enough superstar Sara Lee is no longer with us. The Tough Enough superstar passed away at the young age of 30 years and it’s heart-touching to see that she touched so many hearts during her time in the wrestling business.
A Michigan native, Sara Lee wasn’t just a professional wrestler. She was into competitive powerlifting. She also studied diagnostic medical sonography at Delta College in Bay City, Michigan before turning her attention to wrestling.
She was in the sixth season of Tough Enough in June 2015. Sara was on the verge of being evicted from the competition on five different occasions. She survived and was one of the winners of the show alongside Josh Bredl in the men’s division.
Sara worked in the WWE’s developmental brand NXT and used her real name, instead of her given name, Hope. She cut a heel promo during a live event on January 16th, 2016. She was later released from her contract the same year.
WWE knew that they have something exceptional on their side and they did try to work with it, but it looks like things didn’t work out well between the two parties and Sara was on her own. Her work didn’t impact people much after she left WWE.
She married former WWE wrestler Wesley Blake. They married in 2017 and over the years the couple had three children. Her passing away leaves Blake with the three kids. No information on her passing away has been made available to the public.
WWE knows that they had a talented performer by their side, and while no one knows what caused her passing away, one would have to see if there is anything that the wrestling juggernaut would do to make it work for her husband. It would be interesting to see if Blake will be hired by the WWE under the new regime to get a brand new work assignment.
Do you think WWE should do that? Sound off in the comments.
