WWE will be holding their WrestleMania 39 Premium Live Event on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2 from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California and the company is looking to stack their card and make it the biggest WrestleMania of all time based on recent reports of who the promotion wants to bring back and the matches they want to have.
One of the matches WWE is hoping to have is for The Rock to take on Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the main event of either Night 1 or Night 2 of WrestleMania 39, but the promotion was looking to finalize the main event plans by this January and it was believed The Rock had to give the WWE an answer regarding his status for The Show Of Shows prior to next month. WWE is also planning to have Roman Reigns wrestle Cody Rhodes on Night 2 of WrestleMania 39 and Seth Rollins face either Drew McIntyre or Cody Rhodes on Night 1, but there is no word yet on if those matches will still be taking place.
According to Fightful Select, a pitch was made to WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin about a potential match against the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 39 and an “enormous” money offer was made to The Texas Rattlesnake. The report also states that the money being offered to Stone Cold is more than what he was offered at WrestleMania 38, when he faced top WWE Star Kevin Owens in Singles action as the deal that was offered to him last year was not as appealing from a financial standpoint.
There is no word yet on if WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin has plans to accept the offer, but updates will be provided once it has been made available.
