WWE held their 2023 NXT Deadline Premium Live Event this past Saturday night from inside the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut and this was the company’s final Premium Live Event of the year. The show featured current WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov defending his WWE NXT Championship against Baron Corbin in the main event as well as two Iron Survivor Challenge Matches, one for the men and one for the women.
The Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match comprised of Tyler Bate, Josh Briggs, Dijak, former WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker and the eventual winner Trick Williams, while the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match comprised of Meta-Four’s Lash Legend, Fallon Henley, Kelani Jordan, former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and the eventual winner Blair Davenport.
Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that WWE officials are really high on Meta-Four member Lash Legend because of her size and because she is a legit, top-level athlete. Legend (real name Anriel Howard) is a former WNBA player after playing college ball at Texas A&M and Mississippi State. Legend signed with WWE in December of 2020 before making her TV debut in a backstage segment the following September.
