WWE Sold A Lot Of RAW Tickets After CM Punk Announcement

CM Punk, who is one of the most, if not the most polarizing figure in all of sports entertainment/pro wrestling, made his shocking return to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois and had a brief interaction with the fans. Punk then appeared on RAW two nights later and he cut a promo that was described as nice and humble.

This past Friday night’s Tribute To The Troops episode of SmackDown saw Punk make another appearance, but this time his promo was more like his old self as he put over younger stars, made it clear why he is back in WWE and announced that he will reveal which brand he would sign with on tomorrow’s RAW.

Following the announcement that Punk will be appering on Monday Night RAW tomorrow night, tickets for the show moved quite a bit from a few days ago. According to WrestleTix, the show has sold a total of 8,283 tickets, with 916 tickets still available for a show that has a setup of 9,199. In the last six days following the announcement, WWE has sold 1,511 tickets.

Punk, who is slated to challenge WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins down the line, is no doubt a ticket mover, something that has become rare in this day and age as only Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and 16-time World Champion John Cena have done the same thing.
