WWE WrestleMania 39 Plans For John Cena And The Rock Still Uncertain

WWE will hold their WrestleMania 39 Premium Live Event on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 and Sunday, April 2nd, 2023 from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California and the company is looking to stack the card and make this the biggest WrestleMania of all time based on previous reports of who they want to bring in for The Showcase Of The Immortals.

Dave Meltzer noted on a previous Wrestling Observer Radio Program that WWE considers the WrestleMania 39 Premium Live Event an all hands on deck situation and considering that it will be two nights there is a lot of big money matches the company wants to do and a lot of huge names they’re hoping to bring back, including WWE legend The Rock and John Cena and WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin, with the idea of doing The Rock vs. Roman Reigns as the main event of either night 1 or night 2.

According to Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program, WWE legend and 16-time World Champion John Cena has a movie in February and in March, which means Cena won’t be able to do a lot of TV appearances for the WWE and Cena may have other things going on as well so the best way to put it is Cena is a “probable” for WWE’s WrestleMania 39. Meltzer also noted that for The Rock it will all come down to his Hollywood schedule and XFL commitments, so Dwayne is a “possible,” maybe even a “probable” for WWE’s WrestleMania 39.

This is what Dave Meltzer said:

“Am I saying he’s not going to do it? No, I’m not saying that at all. And if he’s doing it, wow, you have him, Austin, and Cena all on the same show – or the same weekend because they’ll split them up, obviously. Like, Cena’s not 100% either, by the way, but he’s got a movie in February and March, so he’s not going to be able to do a lot of TVs. I don’t know…he will do the show if he’s available, but it’s the same thing. He may have other things going on. I was told… I guess the best way to put it is Cena is a ‘probable’, and Dwayne is a ‘possible’ maybe a probable, I don’t know, but neither is a sure thing.”
