WWE’s Plans For Kevin Owens Has Been Put On Hold For Now

Several WWE Superstars have had changes done to their character and their presentation since Triple H took over the promotion’s creative and one of those Superstars is former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens. Kevin Owens has been booked stronger and he has been portraying The Prize Fighter character he had while he was in NXT, but it seems that plans for Owens has been put on hold for the time being.

WrestleVotes revealed to GiveMeSport that there were plans of Owens being involved with Sami Zayn and The Bloodline, but those plans have been put on hold for the time being because Sami Zayn’s storyline with The Bloodline is so hot right now, though Owens’ plans with Sami Zayn have only been pushed back and is still bound to happen sometime in the near future.

It was also mentioned that Sami Zayn’s storyline with The Bloodline was only supposed to last about 3 to 4 weeks and it was mostly supposed to feature comedy segments, but they didn’t anticipate it to be as big as it currently is. Kevin Owens’ last WWE television match took place on the August 26 episode of WWE RAW, when he teamed with Johnny Gargano to battle Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) in a Tag Team Match.

This is what WrestleVotes said:

“He was pegged to get involved with Sami and The Bloodline, but that’s white hot right now. Those plans from what I’ve been told are definitely pushed back, but they’re not off, because the plan is for Kevin Owens to be with Sami Zayn.”

“Whatever they had planned for Kevin Owens is totally on pause because this stuff with Sami doesn’t come around often. This was supposed to be a little three, four week comedy deal, and it’s getting big.”
