AEW Announces Thunder Rosa Has Officially Signed With The Company

AEW Star Thunder Rosa has really made a name for herself ever since she signed with the promotion and she has even proven to be one of the top contenders in the women’s division. She has been involved in a number of momentous and historic matches AEW has had since its inception, which includes the Lights Out Match between herself and AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker on the March 17th episode of AEW Dynamite.

Speaking of Thunder Rosa, AEW recently announced that she has officially signed a full-time deal with the company. Shortly after the announcement of her AEW signing was made, Rosa took to her Twitter and commented on the signing, calling it one of the biggest accomplishments in her career. Rosa then said that she is finally where she belongs.

Prior to working with All Elite Wrestling, Rosa first made a name for herself in Lucha Underground in 2015 until she left the company in 2019. She then signed with the NWA in October of 2019 and has been a star since. Rosa then won the NWA World Women’s Championship from Allysin Kay at the NWA Hard Times 2020 PPV, becoming the first-ever Mexican born wrestler to win the title.

Thunder Rosa then made her AEW debut on the August 22, 2020 episode of Dynamite, where she challenged then-AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida for the title at the All Out PPV Event. On the September 2, 2020 episode of Dynamite, Rosa would make her AEW in-ring debut against Serena Deeb, while she was still the NWA World Women’s Champion. Since then, she has been making appearances for AEW and the NWA as well as for a few indie events.
