AEW Confirms Marquee Match for New Year’s Show

All Elite Wrestling Dynamite will take a break next Wednesday for Christmas, so in an effort to beef up the New Year’s show it confirmed a huge singles match.

“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes will take on Darby Allin in a rematch of the previous epic showdown. Here’s a tweet from Rhodes’ official account to promote the match.

This is a rematch from the AEW Fyter Fest event back in June where the two stars wrestled to a time limit draw. The setup for the match occurred when Allin offered aid to Cody in his match against The Butcher and The Blade. For his part, Allin also hyped the match with an odd tweet of his own.
