AEW Dynamite Viewership Slightly Up For Wednesday’s Episode

Last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 922,000 viewers, while last Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 929,000 viewers, reports Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

This total is up 0.76% from last week’s AEW Dynamite, which drew a 0.35 rating in the key 18-49 demo. Last Wednesday night’s 0.35 rating is up 6.06% from last week’s rating of 0.33 in the key 18-49 demo. Last Wednesday night’s 0.35 rating in the 18-49 key demographic represents a total of 457,000 viewers that watched this past Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite from that demo. This is up 6.28% from last week’s 430,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.

Last Wednesday’s live AEW Dynamite from inside the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada featured “Mr. Mayhem” Wardlow facing “The Chairman” Shawn Spears in a Steel Cage Match with MJF as the special guest referee, AEW announcer Tony Schiavone interviewing the AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa, AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page and CM Punk in a face-to-face confrontation, Swerve Strickland going up against FTW Champion “Absolute” Ricky Starks and AEW World Tag Team Champion Jungle Boy in a 3-Way Match, ROH World Tag Team Champion FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) defending their ROH World Tag Team Titles against Roppongi Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero), Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston facing Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) in a Tag Team Match with Chris Jericho and William Regal on commentary, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. locking horns with Toni Storm in an Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Semifinals Match and ROH World TV Champion Samoa Joe taking on Kyle O’Reilly in an Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Semifinals Match, which was the main event.

The viewership number of last Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite, which drew the sixth-lowest audience of the year so far and tied with other episodes for the fifth-lowest key demo rating of the year as well as which episode drew the highest total audience and key demo rating since the April 20 Dynamite, was up 76.62% from the same week last year, while the key 18-49 demo rating was up 75% from the same week in 2021.

Last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite ranked #6 for the night on the Cable Top 150, with a 0.35 rating in the 18-49 key demo, which is up from last week’s #7 ranking. Last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite episode ranked #44 in viewership for the night on cable, which is down from last week’s #36 ranking.
