Last week’s AEW Dynamite episode was able to draw a total of 1.047 million viewers, while Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite was able to draw a total of 1.319 million viewers, Showbuzz Daily and Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports.
This total is up 25.98% from last week’s AEW Dynamite show, which drew a 0.52 rating in the 18-49 key demo. This past Wednesday’s rating of 0.52 is up 40.54% from last week’s 0.37 rating in the key 18-49 demo. The 0.52 rating in the 18-49 key demo represents around 681,000 total viewers that watched this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite from that demographic. This is up 40.12% from last week’s 486,000 total viewers in the 18-49 key demo.
This past Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured CM Punk making an appearance after his All Out Match against Darby Allin, Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole making their Dynamite debuts, Tony Schiavone interviewing The Elite, The Pinnacle (FTR and Shawn Spears) vs. Dark Order (Evil Uno, Stu Grayson and John Silver), Dante Martin vs. Powerhouse Hobbs, Ruby Soho making her AEW in-ring debut against Jamie Hayter, Dustin Rhodes vs. Malakai Black and Jon Moxley making his homecoming vs. Minoru Suzuki, which was the main event.
The viewership number of this past Wednesday night’s post-All Out episode of Dynamite, which drew the second-highest rating in Dynamite history and the second-highest key demo rating in Dynamite history, both behind the premiere episode back on October 2, 2019, which drew a total of 1.409 million viewers with a key demo rating of 0.68, was up 29.8% from the same week in 2020, which, at the time, competed against the NXT brand, while the 18-49 key demo rating was up 43.2% from the same week in 2020.
Last Wednesday night’s Dynamite topped the night on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.52 rating in the 18-49 key demo, while Dynamite ranked #19 in viewership for the night on cable. This is the third week that AEW Dynamite has ranked #1 on the Cable Top 150, and the show’s viewership is up from last week’s #32 ranking. Last Wednesday’s Dynamite beat last Monday’s WWE RAW in the 18-49 key demographic viewers as Dynamite drew 681,000 viewers from the 18-49 demo, while RAW drew 678,000 from the 18-49 demo.
