Three trademarks that could potentially be related to a video game was previously filed by All Elite Wrestling. This past September 10th, All Elite Wrestling filed to trademark the “All Elite Wrestling: Elite General Manager” and “Elite GM” names.
The company would then file to trademark the “AEW: Elite GM” name on September 15th.
Below is the use description All Elite Wrestling filed to the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) for all three of these names:
“IC 009. US 021 023 026 036 038. G & S: Downloadable game software; Downloadable computer game software for use on mobile and cellular phones; Downloadable electronic game software for use on handheld computers and mobile gaming devices; Downloadable video game programs; Recorded video game software”
All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President and top AEW Star Kenny Omega recently gave an update on AEW’s first-ever video game when he spoke with GameSpot. According to Omega, AEW is getting closer to show the first little bit of footage they have on the game and he can not say too much more other than he is working very closely creatively with a team.
Omega also said that every few weeks the team has very exciting new things to show them so it is still a long way to go before the game is out and they are not going to be competing head to head against WWE’s Battlegrounds video game anytime soon. When the game is out and ready, Omega thinks that the game has a very good chance of standing alone as probably the best wrestling product you could find on the market.
This is what Kenny Omega said:
“I can’t say too much more other than I am working very closely creatively with a team.” “And every few weeks, they have very exciting new things to show us. And I believe that we’re on the right track because I think we have a good team backing us with a lot of very, very good hands that are very capable. And when I can say more, I certainly will. And I’m really excited to show the first little bit of footage that we have.”
“So it’s a little ways away. We’re not going to be competing head to head against WWE Battlegrounds anytime soon. But when the game is ready, and when it will release, I think it has a very good chance of standing alone is probably the best wrestling product as a video game that you could probably find on the market. That’s the hope anyway.”
