AEW Provides Update On Cody Rhodes’ Health, Could Be Out Weeks

This past Saturday night’s AEW Full Gear PPV Event saw “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes suffer a nasty cut above his eye that nearly ended his AEW World Title Match against Champion Chris Jericho. This happened after landing awkwardly, gnarly and hard on his head and hitting the steel ramp way when performing a dive to the outside.

Dr. Michael Sampson, the ringside physician, would then check on Cody after the nasty landing but would decide at the time that the match can continue.

Just recently, an update was provided by All Elite Wrestling saying that Cody suffered 8 stitches and a costochondral separation. The update also says that Cody is not cleared for in-ring action at this time plus shows a photo of Cody’s injury.

Costochondral separation is reportedly also known as a rib separation and it usually occurs after a direct impact to the chest. The standard healing time for such an injury is from three to four weeks. After this past Saturday night’s match, Cody Rhodes’ mother, a former ER nurse, stitched him up, which you can check out in the post below along with the update recently provided by All Elite Wrestling:
