AEW Reveals New Championship Titles During Last Night’s Dynamite

The opening match of last night’s Fight For The Fallen AEW Dynamite episode saw the Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley successfully defend his Interim AEW World Championship against RUSH. After Moxley successfully defended his title, Chris Jericho and the rest of the Jericho Appreciation Society would make their way out and interrupt the Interim AEW World Champion. Moxley and Jericho would then have a war of words and a match would be made official between the two for a future episode of AEW Dynamite.

Shortly following the post-match segment between Moxley and Jericho, commentary revealed that the AEW World Trios Championships will be coming to the promotion soon and that there will be a tournament to crown the inaugural champions, just like they did with the AEW All-Atlantic Championship. It was also announced that the finals of the tournament will take place at the All Out PPV on Sunday September 4, 2022 from inside the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, which is just outside of Chicago.
