AEW Seemingly Teases CM Punk Appearance After Rampage: First Dance Announcement

A huge announcement was made by AEW announcer Tony Schiavone during last night’s Fight For The Fallen episode of Dynamite that the company will be heading to the United Center in Chicago on August 20 for the First Dance special episode of AEW Rampage. Immediately after the announcement was made, a really loud “CM Punk” chants came from the crowd.

Darby Allin was then interviewed in a backstage segment, where he said he has been around a number of people who say they are the greatest ever in pro wrestling and the only place to prove that is in AEW even if you think you are the best in the world. Allin is obviously referring to former WWE Superstar CM Punk in that particular comment, who has been rumored to sign with AEW.

CM Punk has also been rumored to make his debut at the All Out PPV on September 5th, which also takes place in the Chicago area, but we could see Punk make his debut earlier than planned. Tickets for the First Dance special episode of AEW Rampage are set to go on sale this Monday, August 2nd.
