AEW Star Dax Harwood Currently Dealing With An Injury

Dave Meltzer mentioned on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that top AEW Star Dax Harwood of FTR is currently out of in-ring action as he is dealing with an elbow injury. Meltzer also noted that Harwood’s left elbow has been injured for about six weeks now, but there is no word yet on how the AEW star suffered the injury, or if he will require surgery for his injured elbow.

Harwood’s elbow has reportedly been taped up since an episode of AEW Dynamite in late March, when FTR and Shawn Spears beat Dante Martin and The Varsity Blondes in a Six-Man Tag Team Match. Despite Dax’s injury, he still continued to work because he could not miss out on teaming with Tully Blanchard back on the March 3rd episode of Dynamite, which saw FTR and Tully Blanchard beat Jurassic Express in Six-Man Tag Team action.

All Elite Wrestling recently aligned FTR with MJF as part of The Pinnacle that also consists of Tully Blanchard, Wardlow and Shawn Spears. On the March 31st episode of Dynamite, a brawl between The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle took place, which saw Harwood needing several stitches to close a head wound. An announcement would then be made that on May 5th there will be a Blood And Guts Match between Inner Circle and The Pinnacle.

A Blood And Guts Match was originally scheduled to take place between the Elite and the Inner Circle, but the match did not push through due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is no word yet on if the rules of the match will be the same as the originally announced rules, but updates will be provided once it becomes available.
