This past Sunday night, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla held the second night of their 2022 BOLA Event, which emanated from the Globe Theatre in Los Angeles, California. All Elite Wrestling Star Lio Rush was one of the participants in this year’s BOLA Tournament, where he faced former WWE Star Buddy Matthews and defeated him via DQ in a second round match, but Lio Rush was replaced by Buddy Matthews in the semi-finals of the BOLA Tournament, where he was supposed to face IMPACT Star “Speedball” Mike Bailey, due to him being injured in his match against the former WWE Star earlier on the show.
A number of fans mentioned on Twitter that there were a few people in the crowd who had been throwing drinks into the ring and that may have led to Lio Rush’s injury. It was also mentioned that Excalibur reprimanded a number of fans as a result of Rush’s injury and they have accepted the responsibility.
Lio Rush, who was reportedly taken to the emergency room, took to Twitter and commented on the injury by saying he is not feeling good, but he will be good and when returns he will be more dangerous than ever. Pro wrestling veteran and former WWE Star Lio Rush, who officially signed with the promotion on September 29, 2021, recently revealed on his social media that he has signed a music deal with Virgin Music, Universal Music Group and Thump Records. Rush revealed on his Twitter a few weeks ago that his AEW contract is set to expire on Monday, February 14, 2022 and he will become a free agent by then.
