AEW Star Trent Won’t Need To Get Surgery After Suffering Recent Injury

Trent has been on the sidelines recently with an injury but the good news is that it’s been confirmed that he will not have to undergo any surgery. His last fight took place almost a month ago on the 12th December where he was part of a 12 man tag team.

On Christmas eve Trent took to his own Twitter account to tell fans that he has a partially torn pectoral muscle and will be unable to compete for months. Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the wrestling observer newsletter gave an update on the extent of his injury and how long he will be out of action.

“Trent will be out of action four to five months with the partially torn pec muscle. He is not going to need surgery.”

In his absence, AEW is still continuing the feud with Taylor, his tag team partner being challenged by Miro to a match on AEW New Year’s Smash Night Two. You will be able to watch this match on next week’s AEW Dynamite. This match carries an unusual stipulation where the loser of the bout having to act as the ”young boy” to the winner until Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian get married.

The wedding ceremony will take place on the “Beach Break” episode of AEW Dynamite on February 3rd.
