AEW’s Taz On WWE Not Acknowledging Him In ECW Related Tweet

Former WWE Star and ECW original Taz, who currently is an on-screen manager and a commentator for AEW recently took to his Twitter to voice his displeasure on the WWE not acknowledging him or tagging him in a tweet related to ECW.

The official Twitter account of the WWE Network recently posted about and paid tribute to the 24-year anniversary of ECW’s inaugural PPV Event known as Barely Legal.

It was mentioned in the tweet that 24 years ago ECW made it to the dance by holding their first PPV in company history called Barely Legal. It was also mentioned in the tweet that the sports-entertainment landscape would never be the same.

A number of former ECW Stars were acknowledged in the tweet, including Paul Heyman, RVD, Lance Storm, Tommy Dreamer and Bully Ray, but AEW talent Taz were among those who were not acknowledged, including Raven and Terry Funk, who main evented that PPV.

In his response, Taz said if the WWE wanted to do their “typical” re-writing of history in their eyes and not tag him, who was the main event of the show, they should just edit him out of the video clip. A fan then took to Twitter and told Taz except they didn’t, which is why he is made because he didn’t get a tag on the tweet.

Taz then responded to the fan by saying that to many fans it’s just “oh, you weren’t tag on a tweet,” but for him it is bigger than that, it’s acknowledgment of someone’s contributions to a historic show 24 years ago and he humbly and proudly says he was a pretty big part of that show. A second fan would take to Twitter as well and take some shots at Taz.
