AEW’s Tony Khan Takes A Shot At WWE’s Nick Khan

According to numerous reports, WWE President Nick Khan has been negotiating with NJPW on WWE possibly becoming the exclusive partner of the Japanese wrestling promotion here in the United States and that these talks have been going on for two months now. The talks between the WWE and NJPW have reportedly also had something to do with Daniel Bryan possibly working with the Japanese promotion.

AEW President Tony Khan took offense in these talks between WWE President Nick Khan and NJPW and sent a message to the WWE President via Twitter. The AEW President and CEO took some shots at Nick Khan by sarcastically telling him that if he has been talking to NJPW for two months, then WWE President Nick Khan has gotten a lot done.

Tony Khan also pointed out the fact that in the last two weeks he has had Yuji Nagata, Ren Narita and Rocky Romero on AEW, and he has even reunited Roppongi Vice. AEW President Tony Khan also said he has had the IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley defend the title successfully on their show. Tony Khan then said that there is only room for one Khan in the wrestling business, and it’s him, it’s not some con-man from Connecticut.

As of this writing, WWE President Nick Khan has yet to respond to AEW President Tony Khan. NJPW has a current working relationship with AEW and IMPACT Wrestling and it was noted that nothing is happening right now with the talks between WWE and NJPW, so until a deal is reached, if it does happen, the AEW working relationship with NJPW and IMPACT Wrestling will continue.
