CM Punk Reportedly Turns Down Huge Offer From AEW

Former WWE Champion CM Punk recently made a surprise and shocking appearance at this past Tuesday night’s episode of WWE Backstage. Prior to CM Punk’s appearance on WWE Backstage, he reportedly did meet up with AEW President and CEO Tony Khan on possibly signing with the company.

According to Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com, Khan reportedly offered Punk “a lot of money” but he flat out turned it down. There is no word yet on the exact details of Khan’s offer to CM Punk, but he’s turning down the offer probably means that he has no plans for an in-ring return in the future, even for the WWE.

There has been no indication or sign that CM Punk will be making an in-ring return to the WWE as he is currently under contract to FOX and not the WWE.

According to reports in the past, CM Punk’s agents contacted FOX about the initial tryout in Los Angeles, which is the site of the show each and every week. WWE then gave their blessing to hire CM Punk, but it was ultimately FOX’s decision.
