Cody Rhodes Hints At New TV Title Coming To AEW

Cody Rhodes recently spoke with IGN on several AEW topics. During the interview, he drops a hint that AEW might consider creating a television title in the future.

“There’s a title we’re considering. And it’s something people can probably guess since we’re going to be on TV, hint hint, but there are no plans for it at the moment. Right now we revolve around the AEW Championship and in D.C. we’re going to name the first ever AEW Women’s Champion, and that’s such a beautiful belt. I don’t know if people know, up close, that rose gold is layered into it. Brandi, Kenny Omega, and Tony did a great job getting that title.”

There are no plans for a TV title at the moment. If one were to debut it could be at their next PPV Full Gear or early in 2020.

Rhodes is slated to wrestle Sammy Guevara at the first AEW on TNT show on October 2nd. It will take place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
