Eddie Kingston Makes AEW Debut Against Cody In Title Match

The opening matchup of last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, which was the TNT Title Match Open Challenge wherein TNT Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes put his TNT Title on the line saw Eddie Kingston make his All Elite Wrestling debut.

This was after it was announced that TNT Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody will go up against a “top independent wrestler” and that wrestler ended up being Kingston. This all started on social media when Kingston challenged Rhodes to a match and Cody gladly accepted Eddie’s challenge.

Shortly after Eddie Kingston made his way out, he challenged Cody to a No Disqualification Title Match, which Cody had no problems accepting. Cody Rhodes would defeat Eddie Kingston and retain his TNT Title via submission by using the figure-four leg lock.
