First Title Defense of AEW World Championship Set For Philly

The first title defense of the brand new AEW World Championship will take place at the AEW TNT live broadcast in Philadelphia on October 16th.

The question will be, who will have the title by then. Would it be Chris Jericho or Adam “Hangman” Page? Both are set to face each other at AEW All Out on August 31st. The winner of that match will be the first-ever AEW World Champion.

Tickets go on sale for the AEW Philadelphia TNT TV event this Friday, August 16th at noon via Ticketmaster and AEWTix.com. Between this match and the Jon Moxley vs. Shawn Spears match in Boston on October 9th. Will AEW bring Ticketmaster down with both shows going on sale at the same time, which one will sell out first.
