FTR Changing Finisher Name To Pay Tribute To Brodie Lee

Top AEW Star Brodie Lee (Jon Huber), who was known as Luke Harper in WWE, recently passed away at the age of 41 reportedly due to a non-COVID-19 lung complication. Brodie’s tragic and unfortunate passing has left the entire professional wrestling world in a really depressing and disheartening state, most especially for his family and friends.

Dax Harwood of FTR took to Twitter and revealed that they are changing the name of their finisher The Goodnight Express to Big Rig, which is one of Brodie Lee’s nicknames from his days on the Indie scene to pay tribute to The Exalted One. Harwood also said that he received the blessing of Lee’s wife, Amanda Huber.

Harwood said after speaking with Amanda, and getting her blessing, he and Cash have decided to change the name of The Goodnight Express to “Big Rig.” Dax also said that this is their way of keeping a bit of Brodie Lee’s legacy alive in professional wrestling.
