It was previously reported that AEW Star Ivelisse has not been used on AEW TV for a few months and it turns out there is a huge reason why that is the case. Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ivelisse was recently asked about her status with AEW and she said that if only she could speak.
Meltzer also revealed that Ivelisse has been working for AEW on a per-event deal, and not a full-time contract. There was also a mention of Ivelisse having an issue with “a few” AEW coaches, and that she is not being booked right now, but that doesn’t mean that she has parted ways with the company.
In an update provided by Fightful Select, it appears that Ivelisse’s contract with AEW has come to an end as the current SHINE Champion recently took to her Twitter and revealed that after speaking about mistreatment, she was let go by All Elite Wrestling.
This is what Ivelisse said:
“History repeats itself unfortunately.” “I speak about mistreatment and get let go. That’s life.”
It was also mentioned by Fightful Select that they reached out to Ivellise several weeks back and she told them that she was still with AEW. Fightful Select also revealed that they reached out to several talents as far back as March 20th and they said “that they didn’t expect Ivelisse to return to AEW as she had well-known disagreements with agents backstage.” It should be noted that it was not explained what those disagreements were.
There’s no word yet on if Ivelisse was really let go by AEW as they have yet to comment on the issue, but updates will be provided as it becomes available. Ivelisse’s tweet has since been deleted.
