Jade Cargill Debut, AEW Cody vs Shaq Feud Teased On AEW Dynamite

During last night’s AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes came to the ring to talk about getting another shot at MJF and congratulating new AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin. During his promo, Jade Cargill made her AEW debut by interrupting The American Nightmare because he said he was a “giant killer.”

Cargill has been at ringside for several weeks and said she has been watching her competition and Cody. She is currently training at the Nightmare Factory.

Cargill proceeded to insult Rhodes and said there was nothing giant about him. She then said he is no giant killer, but she has a giant of her own, and his name is Shaq.

Brandi Rhodes also got involved and yelled at Cargill for how she spoke to Cody.

Shaquille O’Neal signed a multi-year contract extension with Turner Sports earlier this year. While the announcement largely focused on his continued role on TNT’s Inside The NBA, the press release hinted Shaq might step in the ring in All Elite Wrestling.

The four-time NBA Champion then told The Athletic: “I’d love to fight Cody. Write it. Print it. Text it to him. Call AEW up and tell them.” We saw O’Neal backstage at this past weekend’s Full Gear. Shaq previously competed in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32.
