Maki Itoh Could Return To AEW For Owen Hart Tournament

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling Star Maki Itoh recently took to her Twitter and teased that she could be on her way back to All Elite Wrestling to compete in the Quarterfinals Match of the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament as Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.’s mystery “joker” opponent. According to Itoh, her next match is set to take place in the U.S., teasing that she could make an appearance on tomorrow night’s episode of AEW Dynamite. There has also been speculation that Britt Baker’s mystery opponent could be former WWE Star Ember Moon (Athena), but neither name has been confirmed yet.

Maki Itoh initially took part in the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament, where Itoh lost a first round matchup to Ryo Mizunami. Itoh then competed at AEW’s Revolution PPV, where she and Dr. Britt Baker defeated Riho and Thunder Rosa in Women’s Division Tag Team action. She then competed during the premiere episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, losing to Riho in Women’s Division Singles action to end her brief tenure with AEW.
