Mike Tyson To Return To Boxing, Future With AEW Unsure

According to a recent report by Yahoo Sports, one of the greatest, if not the greatest pro boxers in the world, “Iron” Mike Tyson plans to make his much-anticipated return to boxing when he faces Roy Jones Jr. on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

The legendary boxer even took to his Instagram and posted a video wherein he revealed that a Legends Only League, which aims to bring back legends from other sports, will be formed. The fight will reportedly be an 8 round exhibition where both contestants will wear gloves larger than normal, but they will not be wearing a headgear.

On the May 27th episode of Dynamite, Mike Tyson and top AEW Star Chris Jericho had an in-ring confrontation and Jericho even teased on several occasions that his feud with Tyson in AEW will continue and that his goal is to have a future match with Tyson. Jericho even said that now would be the perfect time for Tyson to have a match against him in AEW.

Their match was believed to have taken place on AEW’s All Out PPV Event which is scheduled to happen on September 5th, but Tyson’s exhibition boxing match will be one week after All Out, which is why the match between Jericho vs. Tyson is highly unlikely to take place.
