New Championship Announced During Last Night’s Dynamite

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan teased prior to last night’s Dynamite episode that he will make a big announcement, which was rumored to be a second championship title for the company’s women’s division. During last night’s AEW Dynamite episode, AEW announcer Tony Schiavone would talk about how AEW would change the pro wrestling business when they were established two years ago and when Dynamite made its debut as well as when the TNT Title was introduced a year ago.

Schiavone then talked about how AEW Dynamite will be moving to TBS starting January 5th of next year. Schiavone would then announce the creation of the TBS Championship for the company’s women’s division and that a tournament will be taking place down the line to determine the inaugural champion.

There is no word yet on when the tournament will take place, but updates will be provided once it has been made available.
