News On AEW Potentially Reaching A TV Deal In India

All Elite Wrestling has become so popular that there has been a huge demand to air AEW TV as well as the company’s PPVs all around the globe. This would include India, which is the second-most populated country in the world. India has been wanting AEW TV to be aired on their TV programming for months now.

During this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Post-Show, AEW announcer Tony Schiavone provided an update on when fans in India may possibly get AEW TV on their local programming.

This is what Tony Schiavone said:

“India is a huge market and we have been receiving a lot of comments, tweets, and emails from fans there, wondering when Dynamite will land on their TV screens.”

Schiavone then mentioned that their have been talks between AEW management and TV networks in India and he can assure fans in India that AEW will be aired there soon.

This is what Tony Schiavone said:

“I do know that they are working on it. We all realize that India is a huge TV market for pro wrestling. It hasn’t gone unnoticed. However, TV deals always take a long time to get done. So, I do plead with our fans in India to be patient. But I can assure you that we will be in India soon.”

All Elite Wrestling is probably looking to bring their programming to India soon as there were reports last year that outside of the U.S., India is WWE’s biggest market in terms of both unique TV viewers and digital engagement.

India is reportedly also the #1 market in the world for WWE in terms of Facebook and YouTube viewers, which is why AEW is looking to bring their programming to India. So both AEW and WWE will be competing in that region.
