Omega Retains AAA Mega Title At TripleMania, Teases Match

This past Saturday’s AAA TripleMania XXVIII Event saw AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, who is also the AAA Mega Champion, retain his AAA Mega Title against Laredo Kid. The match was full of excitement and high-impact moves and it even saw fellow AEW Star Michael Nakazawa interfere in the match, which then allowed Omega to hit his One-Winged Angel finisher on Laredo Kid to retain his title via pinfall.

After the match ended, Omega refused to shake Laredo Kid’s hand. Kenny Omega then teased a future AAA Match against one of the best high-flyers in pro wrestling El Hijo del Vikingo.

Omega said that Vikingo is the one person who impressed him and he is very good. Omega also said that he’s never seen high-flying like Vikingo’s in a long time. Omega then said that he respects Vikingo and wants a match with him in the future, so AAA can do what they will and he will be waiting.

Kenny Omega also appeared during IMPACT’s Final Resolution PPV alongside Don Callis and Karl Anderson on the same night, which technically means that he appeared on two shows in one night, but the IMPACT Wrestling segment was reportedly a pre-taped segment, which was likely taped last week.
