Orange Cassidy Reportedly Suffers An Injury At Revolution

This past Sunday’s AEW Revolution PPV Event featured a stacked card from top to bottom, including the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, which was comprised of Powerhouse Hobbs, Keith Lee, FTW Champion “Absolute” Ricky Starks, Orange Cassidy, Christian Cage and the eventual winner Wardlow, who will now be receiving a TNT Championship Match down the line against either Sammy Guevara or Scorpio Sky, with these two men facing each other this Wednesday night on Dynamite in an AEW TNT Championship Match.

Bryan Alvarez noted on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that Cassidy suffered a shoulder injury during the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match and Cassidy was the only talent that seriously got injured during the match, but he did not get injured from the ladders that were present in the match. It seems that Cassidy suffered the injury when he was launched out of the ring by Keith Lee onto Christian Cage and Ricky Starks, but he went further them and landed pretty bad. Cassidy did not return to the match after the spot as he was checked on by doctors at ringside, but Cassidy would also be thrown onto a ladder by Powerhouse Hobbs prior to suffering an injury. Dave Meltzer would add that FTW Champion Ricky Starks, who was on the receiving end of a nasty powerbomb from Wardlow onto a ladder, is okay and that he did not suffer any injury.

There’s no word yet on the severity of Cassidy’s injury and how long he will be out of in-ring action if he does need to take some time off, but updates will be provided once it has been made available.
