Reason Why The Young Bucks Didn’t Appear On Last Week’s Dynamite Episode

Last week’s episode of Dynamite, which was the Fyter Fest Night 2 special, saw a Singles Matchup take place between Doc Gallows of the Good Brothers and Frankie Kazarian, which Gallows came out of as the winner. Immediately after the match, a brawl involving Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson and Kenny Omega and Hangman Page and the Dark Order ensued, but the Young Bucks were noticeably not in the corners of the AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and the IMPACT World Tag Team Champions the Good Brothers.

Dave Meltzer revealed on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio Program that the reason the Young Bucks wasn’t on last week’s AEW Dynamite episode was due to Matt Jackson not being in the arena as he was dealing with a family issue, but that Nick Jackson was in the venue, though the company did decide that since Matt Jackson wasn’t there, there is no reason for Nick Jackson to be there as well.

This is what Dave Meltzer said:

“This last week…you noticed The Young Bucks wasn’t on TV Wednesday. Nick Jackson was there, but they figured that in that run-in thing that it would look weird if Nick was there. Matt did not come, he had a family issue.”

Tonight’s Fight For The Fallen special episode of Dynamite will see The Elite (Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks and the Good Brothers) take on Hangman Page and the Dark Order in a 10-Man Elimination Tag Team Match, with the stipulation that if the team of Hangman and the Dark Order wins, then Hangman gets an opportunity at Kenny Omega’s AEW World Title and the Dark Order gets a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Titles currently held by the Young Bucks.
