“Rebel” Tanea Brooks Talks AEW, Role With Dr. Britt Baker, More

“Rebel” Tanea Brooks was recently interviewed on “Conversation with the Big Guy Ryback”. They talk about her current run with AEW as the make-up artist for the talent but also appearing on camera alongside Dr. Britt Baker.

Fans may remember Rebel from her days as a wrestler in TNA/Impact Wrestling.

Here are some highlights from the interview:

Rebel about what makes working for AEW different:

“I feel like a lot of people there have been at other companies and have felt that cut-throat type of mental game. I feel like nobody wants to go through that again. It’s torture. I feel like they really do a great job of making it different and not feeling like that and being supportive and not working against each other. Tony Khan is so accessible, supportive, and encouraging. Cody too. The guys running it are doing it right.”

Rebel on her AEW role:

“I was contracted as the makeup and hair artist. That is my second passion. Wrestling is first. I love making people feel beautiful. That’s really how I started with AEW. I’m not sure how my role came to be with Britt Baker on TV. I feel Britt requested me to be there with her and then Tony and Cody seeing, noticing the dynamic between us two made the call to keep having me on.”

She also talks about first meeting Ryback at an indy show several years ago, training with Rip Rogers, social media, cheerleading with the Dallas Cowboys, and more.
