Reports Suggest That AEW Kept Anna Jay’s Injury Secret For A Month

Yesterday we were able to confirm that Anna Jay will not be able to compete for at least 6 months because of a serious shoulder injury that will require surgery.

Sadly the news came one week before she was supposed to compete in the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament. Reports today though suggest that the company knew about this injury for a while.

It was reported that Jay picked up her injury away from the cameras whilst training. Fightful Select claims that AEW knew about the injury for a month and had already forced the company to change some of its schedules.

Fightful can confirm that the injury happened well over a month ago,  and caused a change to the AEW Dark tapings back then.

AEW was promoting Anna Jay for the Eliminator tournament which is currently taking place. The company knew Jay was injured but was clinging to the hope that sometime on the sidelines would have lead to some recovery but unfortunately, with Jay, she will require surgery.
