Ricky Starks On How CM Punk Is Backstage, AEW’s Momentum

One of All Elite Wrestling’s fastest rising stars and the FTW Champion Ricky Starks recently appeared on the debut episode of Renee Paquette and Miesha Tate’s “‎Throwing Down w/ Renee & Miesha” podcast to talk about how it is to have CM Punk backstage in AEW, having to deal with twice as much wrestlers in the backstage area in AEW compared to when they first started and the momentum of AEW.

Below are the highlights:

On how it is to have CM Punk backstage in AEW:

“It’s been great. I know that he’s a very hard worker, obviously. Backstage, he’s very mindful of everyone and their matches. He makes sure he talks to them and critiques them afterwards. He’s very approachable. I think having Punk back there is a big morale boost, like a big morale boost.”

On having to deal with twice as much wrestlers in the backstage area in AEW compared to when they first started:

“I don’t really acclimate well to change so quickly as I should, so I’m still trying to adjust to having so many people back there, new faces, and different personalities. It’s good otherwise.”

On the momentum of AEW:

“I feel like this is where we turn the corner. Everything is so cyclical in wrestling and pop culture that I think we are really turning that corner into the next phase where things are really going to start popping off here in the next few months if I had to predict.”
