The biggest legend in all of pro wrestling, Sting, made the headlines yet again when he surprised the pro wrestling world and made his debut in AEW after being in the WWE for years.
Sting recently signed a multi-year contract with the promotion after making an appearance on last week’s “Winter Is Coming” episode of Dynamite. Sting was then announced to be making an appearance yet again on this week’s AEW Dynamite, which he did.
The segment featured Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson in the ring with Sting while AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin was high up in the stands. The segment started with Cody Rhodes in the ring, as he is joined by Arn Anderson. Tony Schiavone then attempts to question Cody Rhodes about Sting, but before he can say anything, Sting’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring.
A conversation then takes place between Cody, Sting, Arn and Schiavone prior to Cody Rhodes welcoming Sting back and thanking him for the assist last week. Cody Rhodes then says that he’s been waiting to share the ring with Sting for a very long time. Sting then tells Cody that he is not here for him, at least not right now. Sting then says that there’s something really familiar about this then points up at Darby Allin.
Sting then says that the only thing that is for sure about Sting is that nothing is sure. He mentions being signed with AEW and plans on being close to the promotion for a long time. Sting then says that how he chooses to play, that’s his business. Sting then tells Cody, “see ya around, kid.” Cody Rhodes then looks a bit annoyed as Sting makes his way to the back.
