Tony Khan On Fan Accusing Him Of Paying Media Outlets To Cover AEW

Ever since its inception back in January 1st, 2019, All Elite Wrestling has really been making a name in the pro wrestling industry and they have been garnering global recognition and major successes all around the world and they have even been reaching worldwide audiences and markets. In just over a two year time period, AEW has become a global name and they can even be considered as a worthy competitor for the WWE.

One of the biggest factors in the company’s continued success is the caliber of talent they have been signing such as Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Chris Jericho, Christian Cage, Malakai Black, Andrade El Idolo, Adam Cole, Bryan Danielson and CM Punk, just to name a few.

Several media outlets such as The Washington Post has been highlighting AEW’s continued success as of late and they have even been giving the company a lot of media exposure. The Washington Post has even gone as far as noting that AEW’s success and rise in popularity has translated into them being a real competitor to the WWE.

A fan recently took to Twitter and took a shot at AEW President and CEO Tony Khan by saying that it’s embarrassing for a person like him to be paying journalists off to write articles on AEW being a real competitor to the WWE as how is it a coincidence that several media outlets have the same headlines.

Tony Khan then responded to the fan and told him he totally busted the AEW CEO for clearly paying off media outlets such as Washington Post, Variety, Business Insider, Forbes and others to talk about how AEW has been a great pro wrestling company for bringing competition to the pro wrestling business and Khan has even said the phrase “watch your wrestling” on a number of interviews as he does not want to force any fan to watch just a single pro wrestling show because he wants fans to enjoy whatever shows they want to watch, whether that be AEW or WWE.
