Tony Khan To Appear On Impact Wrestling Tonight

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan is scheduled to appear alongside commentator Tony Schiavone on tonight’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling.

As reported, tonight’s IMPACT is the first episode in the new crossover deal between the two promotions, which will see Kenny Omega appear alongside Don Callis to explain their actions on last week’s episode of Dynamite. Callis will be acting as Omega’s on-screen manager for this storyline.

Exactly what Khan’s role will be on tonight’s IMPACT is unconfirmed, but it’s rumored that he will act as a representative for AEW and speak his opinion on Omega’s recent shady victory over Jon Moxley for AEW Championship. His appearance is being dubbed as a “paid advertisement.”

Khan will also reportedly state that he could have prevented Omega from appearing on IMPACT but instead chose to let it play out.

Whether Khan and Schiavone will be at IMPACT in person or whether they’ll be appearing via broadcast is unknown. Their appearance sounds familiar to the NWO’s advertising spots during nineties-era WCW.

This will mark the first ever official appearance of Tony Khan on AEW-centric television, at least whilst inside the confines of kayfabe. While Khan is regularly referenced on AEW, he has never appeared on screen. The closest he came was when his voice was heard in a segment with Jon Moxley back in 2019.

Khan has been outspoken in the past about not wanting to be an on-screen character, stating that the authority figure angle has been played out.
