Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) was let go by the WWE last July reportedly due to budget cuts, but there were reports that indicated otherwise, with some reports even claiming that WWE management saw him as someone difficult to work with and that his weight issue was a concern. People close to the situation have even said that Bray was frustrated with The Fiend suit being burned and he was even unhappy with the creative of his character, which became an issue with WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.
AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has stated on past interviews that the promotion will be having quite a number of surprises over the next few weeks, even teasing debuts, which has fueled speculations and rumors from the fans and even the entire pro wrestling community that former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt could be heading to AEW soon, but it looks like the former Bray Wyatt is not ready to get back in the squared circle just yet.
Dave Meltzer mentioned on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the last word on Windham Rotunda is that he doesn’t want to come back to pro wrestling just yet and that he is working on a movie, which is currently keeping him occupied. Meltzer also noted that Rotunda has no financial need or pressure of any kind since he was one of the highest paid wrestlers in WWE, when he was still under contract to them, which could be one of the top reasons for Bray Wyatt to be in no rush to make his pro wrestling return.
It was then indicated by Dave Meltzer that Rotunda was far apart when it came to money talks with AEW and IMPACT Wrestling and that he plans on revealing his side of things in regards to his WWE release.
