US-Canada Travel Restrictions Extended Until June 21

Since March 21st, the border between the US and Canada has been closed for non-essential travel. This is due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This has prevented AEW stars like Evil Uno and Stu Grayson of The Dark Order from traveling to Jacksonville, Florida for TV tapings.

The travel restrictions were set to expire but the Canadian and American Governments agreed to extend the agreement until June 21st. This means wrestlers living in Canada are unable to attend TV tapings for at least another month.

When the restrictions will be lifted remains to be seen. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau cautioned that non-essential travel could remain banned for months. However, he went on to say that they were looking at the situation with the United States on a week-to-week basis.

“The decisions that we’re taking are very much made week-to-week in this crisis. The situation is changing rapidly and we’re adjusting constantly to what are the right measures for Canadians to get that balance right between keeping people safe, and restoring a semblance of normality and economic activity that we all rely on.”

Other AEW wrestlers who have been on hiatus due to travel restrictions include PAC, Pentagon Jr, and Riho.
