AEW TV RATINGS: Dynamite Finishes 7th, NXT 11th, April 7th, 2021

Ratings for the Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 edition of AEW Dynamite were released today. According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW finishing 5th overall for the night.

Dynamite drew 688,000 viewers down from last week’s 700,000 viewers. They finished 7th overall last week. Dynamite was live this week at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Florida. The show featured the return of Mike Tyson to AEW.

NXT drew 768,000 viewers way up from last week’s 654,000 viewers. It finished 11th overall, last week they also finished 11th. The show featured NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Night One. This will be the final time these two shows go head to head. Next week NXT moves to Tuesday night.

The total combined wrestling audience for both shows was up this week at 1.456 million viewers. It was 1.354 million total viewers last week.

Based on the ratings, cable news had 4 of the top 15 shows. FOX News had 3 at #8, #12 and #13. Rachel Maddow on MSNBC at #14.

MTV’s Challenge Double Agent won the night with NBA on ESPN at #2 and #3. Real Housewives Of New Jersey coming in at #4, and then AEW.

Demographic breakdown:

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.28/ NXT: 0.22
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.18
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.38
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.15
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.11
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.15
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.33
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.24
